A Day in the Life of a Field Coordinator

Abstract:

Cate Burnett Fierbaugh is the guest speaker this week.

When I met Cate Burnett Fierbaugh, she was living on the edge of the Sahara Desert and working on minority language development.  At the same time, she was recording for Progressive Publication of MP3 audio.  So Cate has actually done many of the things that we ask our partners to do.

Cate holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Applied Linguistics from the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL).  She speaks fluent French and has served in Bosnia, France, and Chad.

Cate is currently Seed Company’s Area Director for the Sahel, the semi-arid region of Africa south of the Sahara Desert, stretching from the western Atlantic coast all the way to the eastern Red Sea.
